Col. Keith "Spike" Gentile, Commander 99th Reconnasaince Squadron, 9th Reconnaisance Wing, Beale AFB, CA, while on rotational deployment to Osan AB, ROK in the summer of 1996.  Col Gentile was well known for dropping and doing 99 push-ups on the flightline after a mission in honor of the Squadron.  On this day he had just completed a 13 hour mission filming accross into North Korea.  Photos by MSgt John K.  I ran across this picture in my file the other day and got  help with the identification.  The , man on the left is Francis Gary Powers Jr. and the Pilot on the right is LTC Bryan Andrews, Commander 1st Reconnaissance Squadron, 9th Reconnaissance Wing, Beale AFB, CA.  This picture was taken during the summer of 2001 when Mr. Powers came to visit and took a flight in a U-2 Dragon Lady.
